Cedar Ledge

Compass Harbor is a private, slightly out of the way cove, about 1 mile from downtown Bar Harbor. Cedar Ledge cottage is located on this wonderful shoreline, up on a cliff, with fantastic views of the Porcupine Islands and the delightful harbor. Watch the luxury craft sail by on your shaded deck. Enjoy exploring the varied beach and swimming in the cove. This is a wonderful, private shorefront property just minutes from the activities of town, with very desirable waterfrontage (a 5 minute trail walk takes you to the shore). The property borders a very private section of Acadia National Park. A short walk down beautiful trails bring you to a really dramatic piece of the shoreline.

The full cottage is not available to guests, but 3 bedrooms and two baths (one full and one with shower only) are available for weekly rentals. The bedrooms are one queen, one twin, and two twins. Capacity for the main house is 5. However there is also a separate suite (over the garage) that can also be rented, with an additional capacity of 3. This guest suite has two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 double), a full bath, sitting room, screen porch area, and kitchenette.

In the main living space there is a living room, full kitchen, dining area and screened in porch area. There is a also an outside deck with picnic table and gas BBQ.

Other amenities include a washer/dryer, microwave, cable TV, WIFI, DVD, and plenty of parking. Sorry, no dishwasher.

Lots of family activities right at the cottage. Kayak, swim and beachcomb right at the shore. Walk to town for dinner, or pick up the Island Explorer Bus at the end of the road and explore Acadia National Park and the rest of Mount Desert Island. The main Entrance to Acadia National Park’ hiking, biking, and sight seeing is only one mile from the cottage.
