Cottage at Otter Creek

Located right in the middle of the quaint village of Otter Creek, The Cottage at Otter Creek is a cozy 4 bedroom home. Just 5 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and 4 miles from the wonderful Seal Harbor beach, the cottage is also within walking distance to several Acadia Hiking Trails, and the shore in Acadia. And it's right on the Island Explorer free bus route, taking you all over Mount Desert Island and into Acadia National Park.

The comfortable accommodations are great for a large or extended family! There is a king bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds, a bedroom with one twin bed and a loft bedroom with four twin "floor" beds (great for kids), sleeping 9 in total. There are two full bathrooms. Cottage has a living room, family room, dining table seating 8, and kitchen. The spacious deck provides lots of outdoor enjoyment for family cookouts.

Amenities include washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas BBQ, microwave, DSL internet, and cable TV in 5 rooms! There is also a canoe that guests can use (though you must transport yourself).

A five-minute walk up the road from the cottage will take you to the hiking trail markers for Acadia’s Day Mountain and Eagle’s Crag (the Southridge Trail for Cadillac Mtn). Walk the paths created 60+ years ago so visitors could enjoy the awesome beauty of these wonderful mountains, and the vistas of the open ocean and outer islands.

The property is conveniently located right by the Otter Creek Market. Enjoy vacationing in a small village community while being just minutes from bustling Bar Harbor, where you can enjoy activities like whale watching, sea kayak tours, shopping, dining, and much more.
