Grover Cottage

Otter Creek is a sweet little village just 4 miles south of downtown Bar Harbor. The Grover Cottage is a lovely village cottage over 100 years old, located on one of the 3 "side" streets in Otter Creek, Grover Ave. It has been lovingly restored by its new owners (it's actually featured in the March 2012 issue of Country Living magazine). It's the perfect cottage and location for visitors to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Walk to Acadia hiking trails for Day Mountain and Eagle's Crag. Walk to a nearby wooded path to the shore in Acadia! The Island Explorer Bus stop is a block away, taking you anywhere you want to go on Mount Desert Island.

The cottage features 3 bedrooms (two queen bedrooms, one bedroom with two twin beds), one full bathroom on 2nd floor, full dining room, living room, and kitchen with new appliances. There is also a sweet front porch/sitting area. Amenities include dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas BBQ grill, satellite TV, DSL high speed internet, linens, microwave, coffeemaker—everything needed for a full week’s housekeeping. There is a also outdoor dining furniture.

Otter Creek’s shoreline, just a 15 minute walk, or so, through the woods is rife with sea life, rocks, sand and seashells. No longer used as a fishing harbor, the “Creek” is a beautiful cove featured in many published scenic photos and paintings.

Visit Bar Harbor to shop and dine, catch a whale watch cruise, go sea kayaking, rent scooters and bikes. Seal Harbor and the Seal Harbor sand beach are just a few miles away in the other direction! During the summer months, you and your bicycles can travel anywhere on Mount Desert Island on the Island Explorer bus!

Grover Cottage is a great location for your Acadia vacation. Your group of six will be very comfortable here!
