This modern home was designed and built by the owner to integrate well with its natural wooded surroundings. Peaceful and quiet, this new property is located on a lovely farm road but just 8 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor, providing an ideal spot for your vacation. If you are planning to sightsee, hike, or bike through Acadia National Park, the Eagle Lake and Cadillac Mountain entrances are just a five minute drive away (about 30 minutes by bike).

This post and beam home was built in the Shaker tradition from wood that was harvested from the land it sits on, with hand cut joinery and pegs. There is also a custom formed Pine countertop that was made from a 5-ft diameter tree that blew down in Northern Maine. It features 3 bedrooms (one king, 2 queens), with the master bedroom in a loft overlooking the fireplace and living room. The property boasts an extra large deck overlooking a beautifully landscaped yard for outside entertaining. After a long day of hiking or biking, you will rejoice in the double sized spa tub in the master bath. There are two full baths.

Other amenities include microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, two TVs with satellite, gas BBQ grill, computer with WIFI internet access, hardwood floors, linens, and all cookware.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park offer visitors a variety of activities, including hiking, biking, boating, whale watching, canoeing (kayak and canoe tours), lake swimming, carriage road walks, horse back riding, wonderful dining, shopping, deep sea fishing! Visit the oceanarium, sail on the Margaret Todd, take a Jackson Lab visitors tour, enjoy tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House, golf at a PGA top-rated course, play tennis. Kids activities include water park, petting zoo, miniature golf, beaches, and lots of ice cream/dairy bars!
