Seaside cottage is available for weekly rental. Hand-built by the owner, Scott Richardson, the cottage has a traditional Atlantic seacoast design. It’s in perfect harmony with the wooded and ocean surroundings while having all the comforts and conveniences of a modern home.

Located in beautiful Hancock, Maine (click here to read NY Times article, published July 12, 2002), just 22 minutes from Information Center for Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor town line (about 15 miles), this beautiful cottage sits high along the shore, just around the bay from Hancock Point, on heavenly wooded property. Enjoy privacy, peace, the wonderful Maine shoreline, and a safe, friendly environment for you, your guests, and your pet!

Stairs take you down to the beach, where the tide brings a new view every 6 hours! From the vista of the bluff you can see fishing boats moored across the bay—a truly coastal experience.

The cottage features a living room with wood burning fireplace and sleep sofa, dining area, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6+), 2 bathrooms. The first floor features a wonderful old-fashioned porch facing the ocean, for BBQ-ing and entertaining, as well as a screened-in porch area, and bedroom with two twin bed. The entire 2nd floor is two large master bedrooms and a shared master bath. Amenities include Satelite TV, VCR, stereo, computer with highspeed internet, large bathtub (master bath), king beds in master bedrooms, deck furniture, gas BBQ, and of course, all the appliances and household items to make it your home-away-from-home.

This tranquil retreat is situated in one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country, in a delightful coastal community, close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Hancock is a noted for world-class restaurants (The Crocker House, Le Domaine), a burgeoning artist community, and an eclectic mix of native and summer residents.
