Trail's Edge

Tucked away on a small country road, Trail's Edge is a sweet 4 bedroom cottage in the woods, in the center of Mount Desert Island. Bright sunny exposure make for lovely afternoons in the yard (over 1.5 acres)—great for BBQs and family football games! It's just under 5 miles to downtown Bar Harbor, and under 4 miles to one of the main entrances to Acadia National Park and the Eagle Lake carriage roads. You and your friends and family will love this quiet, private haven, and enjoy being close to all the attractions on Mount Desert Island.

The first floor of the cottage features an entrance through the two car garage, where you can park your car or store your kayaks and bikes. The dining and kitchen area are open and spacious. The table seats 6 and the counter can accommodate two more. There's a sweet small deck with the gas BBQ grill. A queen bedroom, full bathroom and laundry, as well as the spacious living room are also on the first floor.

The second floor features the master bedroom, with a king bed and private bath (separate shower and jacuzzi tub). There are also two twins bedrooms, with a shared bath (shower / tub).

Amenities include microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas BBQ, cable TV, VCR, DVD, high-speed wireless internet.

Trail's Edge allows you to enjoy the best of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, including hiking, biking, boating, whale watching, canoeing (kayak and canoe tours), lake swimming, carriage road walks, horse back riding, wonderful dining, shopping, deep sea fishing! Visit the oceanarium, sail on the Margaret Todd, take a Jackson Lab visitors tour, enjoy tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House, golf at a PGA top-rated course, play tennis. Kids activities include water park, petting zoo, miniature golf, beaches, and lots of ice cream/dairy bars!
